About the position

The IT Support Specialist Level 1 at Precision Castparts Corp. is responsible for providing technical support for computers and associated networks. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing personal computers, related software, and printers. The specialist will work closely with the IT Manager on various projects and may be assigned to special tasks, including system patching for cybersecurity. The position requires strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with users of varying technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal computer, hardware, and software support.
• Install, service, and install software.
• Perform minor printer troubleshooting.
• Connect personal computers and terminals to existing data networks.
• Instruct users in the use of personal computers and networks.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
• Patch systems in support of cybersecurity.
• Travel between different PCC sites as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Software Center/SCCM deployments.
• Experience with Microsoft Teams and Windows 10/11 OS.
• Knowledge of Active Directory administration.
• Some hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented with the ability to assist users with varying levels of computer knowledge.
