Responsibilities include providing support for personal computers, hardware, and software, as well as minor printer troubleshooting. The specialist will connect personal computers and terminals to existing data networks and instruct users on how to effectively use personal computers and networks. Additionally, the role may involve working on special projects and patching systems to support cybersecurity initiatives. Some travel between different PCC sites may be required, adding a dynamic aspect to the position. This role operates on a Monday to Friday schedule from 7 am to 3:30 pm, providing a structured work environment. The IT Support Specialist is expected to be a motivated self-starter, open to learning new technologies, and capable of delivering exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and oral, are essential for success in this position, as the specialist will interact with various stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the IT Manager on projects
  • Provide personal computer, hardware, and software support
  • Install, service, and install software
  • Perform minor printer troubleshooting
  • Connect personal computers and terminals to existing data networks
  • Instruct users in the use of personal computers and networks
  • May be assigned to work on special projects
  • Patch systems in support of cybersecurity
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field
  • BA or BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience with Microsoft Software Center / SCCM deployments
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams
  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11 OS
  • Experience with MS Windows Active Directory administration
  • Some hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Creative problem-solving skills with strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to deliver customer service to users with various levels of computer knowledge
  • Ability to take direction well and be a motivated self-starter
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Customer service-oriented mindset
