About the position

The IT Support Specialist Level 1 is responsible for providing technical support for computers and associated networks within Precision Castparts Corp. This role involves installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing personal computers, related software, and printers. The specialist will work closely with the IT Manager on various projects and ensure effective user support and system security.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal computer, hardware, and software support.
• Install, service, and install software on personal computers.
• Perform minor printer troubleshooting.
• Connect personal computers and terminals to existing data networks.
• Instruct users in the use of personal computers and networks.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.
• Patch systems in support of cyber security.
• Travel between different PCC sites as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience in a related field.
• BA or BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with Microsoft Software Center / SCCM deployments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams.
• Knowledge of Windows 10/11 OS.
• Experience with MS Windows Active Directory administration.
• Some hardware troubleshooting experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to deliver customer service to users with varying levels of computer knowledge.
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
• Customer service-oriented with a willingness to learn new technologies.
