About the position

Lyra Technology Group is seeking a full-time IT Support Specialist-Level II to join the team at MicroTech Systems in Boise, ID. This role is crucial for providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, hardware, and line of business applications. The IT Support Specialist-Level II will be responsible for the installation and configuration of all MicroTech tools, performing system backups and recoveries for SQL and Exchange, and managing infrastructure installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have expertise in internet, firewall, switch, and Wi-Fi technologies, as well as a solid understanding of VLAN and basic administration. Additionally, the role requires installation, configuration, and administration of Windows Server, server roles, and Active Directory, along with a good understanding of Hypervisor technology. Proficiency in network printing and Office 365 installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting is also essential. Knowledge of PowerShell and scripting will be beneficial in this position. Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, hardware, and line of business applications.
  • Install and configure all MicroTech tools.
  • Perform system backups and recoveries for SQL and Exchange.
  • Manage infrastructure installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Demonstrate expertise with internet, firewall, switch, and Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Understand VLAN and basic administration.
  • Install, configure, and administer Windows Server, server roles, and Active Directory.
  • Understand Hypervisor technology and its administration.
  • Proficiently handle network printing tasks.
  • Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Office 365.
  • Utilize PowerShell and scripting for various tasks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of experience within IT (preferred).
  • Minimum of five years of related IT support experience.
  • Experience with Office 365 installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange.
  • Knowledge of scripting and PowerShell.
  • Understanding and administration of Hypervisor technology.
  • Advanced installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of various backup solutions.
  • Advanced desktop, server, LAN, and WAN troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
  • Strong time management skills and technical savvy.
