About the position

MAXISIQ is seeking an IT Support Specialist Systems Engineer who will play a crucial role in the implementation and support of virtualized platforms utilized within infrastructures for various MAXISIQ customers. This position involves a comprehensive range of responsibilities, including the implementation, documentation, and support of IT systems management and associated technologies. The successful candidate will work with operating systems, storage solutions, virtualization, network, and security technologies, both on-premise and in the cloud, supporting multiple server instances in highly virtualized environments. This full-time opportunity is located in Chantilly, VA, and is expected to become available in the October 2024 timeframe. Candidates must possess an active or current TS/SCI with FS Poly clearance to be considered for this role. The IT Support Specialist Systems Engineer will be responsible for deploying, troubleshooting, and managing both Windows and Linux servers. The role requires experience with Ubuntu 20+, including installation, configuration, and system management, as well as familiarity with Windows Server 2019+ and its roles. The candidate should also have experience configuring networking routers, switches, and firewalls, and be proficient with virtualization platforms such as VMware. Additionally, experience with enterprise storage solutions like Dell and NetApps is essential. The role will also involve deploying Linux and Windows-based desktop environments, participating in architectural forums, and supporting Agile-based program management while implementing a Model-Based Systems Engineering approach. The successful candidate will lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and review process boards, including Engineering Review Boards (ERBs), Change Control Boards (CCBs), System Requirements Reviews (SRRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), and Program Management Reviews (PMRs). As a technical expert in their assigned area, the IT Support Specialist Systems Engineer will provide administrative and technical support to the Government leadership team, coordinate internally, and engage with external mission partners and other Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) customers.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Must have active TS/SCI with current Full Scope Poly clearance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
  • 5 years of related systems engineering experience.
  • Experience with VMware VCP, CISSP, and/or other relevant certifications is a plus.
