About the position

As an IT Support Analyst with GDIT, you will play a crucial role in transforming technology into opportunity. This position is centered around providing support to the INSCOM C2IO program, where you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining technology and telecommunications equipment. Your work will directly impact how agencies operate, ensuring that systems are not only functional but also optimized for performance. You will be at the forefront of innovation, helping to ensure that today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. In this role, you will image, install, and maintain a variety of workstations, while also managing technology and telecommunications equipment. This includes installing, rearranging, and removing equipment and associated wiring. You will collaborate with team members to complete various types of trouble tickets, interpret service orders, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics. Your ability to test, locate, and repair equipment problems associated with trouble calls will be essential, as will your routine maintenance tasks. You will be expected to provide technical expertise in installing and troubleshooting Tier 1 support for customers, ensuring that all issues related to computer peripheral failures, lifecycles, and sanitizations are resolved efficiently. Your troubleshooting skills and critical thinking will be vital in addressing various customer issues. Additionally, you will verify work order information and ensure the receipt of all necessary equipment and information. As a more experienced technician, you will also provide guidance and leadership to less-experienced team members, maintaining current knowledge of relevant technologies and participating in special projects as required. Physical demands of the job include lifting up to 45 lbs, bending, and working under desks.

Responsibilities

  • Image, install, and maintain a variety of workstations.
  • Maintain technology/telecommunication equipment and install, rearrange, and remove equipment and associated wiring.
  • Work with fellow team members to complete various types of trouble tickets.
  • Interpret service orders, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Test, locate, and repair equipment problems associated with trouble calls, and perform routine maintenance.
  • Provide technical expertise in installing and troubleshooting Tier 1 support to the customer.
  • Sanitize equipment used on various networks utilized by the customer.
  • Use troubleshooting skills and critical thinking to solve various customer issues.
  • Verify work order information and receipt of all necessary equipment and information.
  • Provide guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technicians.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience.
  • 1-3 years of related technology or telecommunications experience.
  • Must possess a current Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
  • DOD-8570 IAT II certification required; Sec+ CE required.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and computer literacy.
  • Knowledge of technologies, tools, and equipment used in technology/telecommunications systems support.
