About the position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a VoIP Specialist to support our customer, DISA, at Hill Air Force Base, Utah. This position requires the specialist to be on-site and involves a range of responsibilities centered around the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of telephone systems and services. The VoIP Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the DISN network, particularly as capacity needs evolve. This role is critical in a 24/7 shift work environment, necessitating flexibility and readiness to address issues as they arise. The VoIP Specialist will be tasked with analyzing network and telecommunications alarms to identify potential issues and solutions. This includes maintaining, troubleshooting, documenting, and repairing network devices, which encompass phone systems, call managers, video teleconferencing (VTC) systems, network infrastructure, and trunk circuits. The specialist will also be responsible for identifying, recommending, and implementing straightforward solutions to ensure the continuous operation of the DISN network. To be successful in this role, the VoIP Specialist must possess an active Secret Clearance and demonstrate proficiency in two or more of the following areas: TDM telephone switches, VoIP, Call Manager, and VTC systems. Additionally, candidates must hold a current DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (such as Security+ CE or an equivalent) prior to their start date. This position offers a competitive salary range of $30-42 per hour, based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, medical, dental, vision, and a 401K plan. The contract is fully funded through 2030, providing job stability and mobility for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze network and telecommunications alarms and identify potential issues/solutions.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, document and repair network devices including phone systems, call managers, VTC's, network infrastructure and trunk circuits.
  • Identify, recommend, and implement simple solutions for smooth continuing operation of the DISN network as capacity needs change.

Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance.
