About the position

The IT Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring the effective operation of IT services and support at Trevi. This role involves providing on-site support for end-users, managing infrastructure components, addressing cybersecurity threats, and assisting with special projects related to IT systems and infrastructure. The specialist collaborates with various stakeholders to resolve issues and enhance IT service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end desktop technical support to office users, including Windows 10/11 and Microsoft O365 applications.
  • Perform end user and computer system onboarding and offboarding tasks.
  • Provide on-call support to end-users for urgent issues outside of normal business hours.
  • Maintain computer life cycle management activities, including hardware and software installation and inventory tracking.
  • Develop support documentation and knowledge base for office equipment and devices.
  • Complete computer diagnostic and troubleshooting processes for network and hardware issues.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance and Compliance to support IT controls and audits.
  • Provide Conference room A/V troubleshooting and support with vendor assistance.
  • Work with vendors to minimize downtime and ensure efficient technology acquisition.
  • Provide end-user training on hardware, software, and IT security protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • CompTIA A+, MCP, or MCSA certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of hands-on IT desktop support experience with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365/Azure.
  • Experience providing both on-site and remote support.
  • Experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry is a plus.
  • Experience with Office 365 applications installation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience documenting incidents and requests in ITSM or RMM tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Defender Vulnerability Management.
  • Familiarity with mobile devices and their operating systems, such as iOS and Android.
  • Knowledge of ITIL foundations.
