About the position

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and timely support to end users, serving as the primary contact for all computer and system-related issues. Your duties will include troubleshooting and resolving IT problems, encompassing both hardware and software issues. You will be tasked with analyzing and diagnosing complex system and network faults, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Additionally, you will deploy, repair, test, and track hardware and software, manage inventory, perform patching and upgrades, and ensure software maintenance while coordinating with third-party vendors. Your responsibilities will also involve assisting with hardware and software installation, configuration, and maintenance, as well as documenting IT processes and standard operating procedures to assist in compliance with RMF. You will contribute to IT projects, system upgrades, software integrations, and new technology implementations, and coordinate and execute scheduled upgrades. Effective interfacing with third-party support and vendors will also be required.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Experience in IT support or a related field.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both hardware and software issues.
  • Ability to analyze and diagnose complex system and network faults.
  • Experience with hardware and software deployment, repair, and testing.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and software maintenance.
  • Familiarity with patching and upgrades.
  • Experience in documenting IT processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to contribute to IT projects and system upgrades.
  • Strong communication skills for interfacing with third-party vendors.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in IT support or related fields (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+).
  • Experience with compliance frameworks such as RMF.
  • Familiarity with software integration processes.
  • Knowledge of new technology implementations.
