About the position

The IT Support Specialist at Vasitum is responsible for providing comprehensive onsite desktop support to customers located within assigned locations. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting end-user workstation and peripheral problems, ensuring that issues are effectively diagnosed and resolved both remotely and in person. The specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the functionality of end-user applications and equipment, ensuring compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and rules. The position demands a strong focus on customer service, as the specialist will be the first point of contact for technical issues and will need to communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide timely solutions. In addition to troubleshooting, the IT Support Specialist will be responsible for installing and supporting network devices that provide business-critical services. This includes performing end-user data backup and recovery, which requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that data integrity is maintained. The specialist will also be expected to stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in IT support to enhance service delivery and improve user satisfaction. This position is a contract role, offering a competitive hourly wage, and requires a commitment to working an 8-hour shift from Monday to Friday, in person at the designated work location.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite desktop support for customers located within assigned locations.

  • Ensure that end user applications and equipment continue to work as expected and comply with applicable policies, procedures, and rules.
  • Install and support network devices providing business-critical service.
  • Perform end user data backup and recovery ensuring attention to detail.

Requirements

  • A+ Certification or Network+ Certification is required.
  • 5 years of experience in LAN support.
  • Mid-level experience with VoIP systems.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in IT support.
  • Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Experience with Active Directory.
