The IT Support Specialist is a crucial role within the Rosewood Hotel Group, responsible for maintaining the hardware and software of the property's computing and communication environment. This position works closely with the Information Technology Manager to evaluate existing equipment, explore alternatives, and recommend improvements to enhance the IT infrastructure. The specialist will carry out central administrative activities in accordance with the standard operating procedures established by the Information Technology Manager, ensuring that all IT operations align with the hotel's goals and standards. In this role, the IT Support Specialist will support the IT Helpdesk for the Resort, providing assistance to all property departments in computing matters. They will monitor network health and security, manage system access and user permissions, and ensure compliance with all departmental policies and service procedures. The specialist will also be involved in the development of business process modifications, including design and implementation, while continuously reviewing and evaluating existing configurations to maintain optimal performance. Additionally, the IT Support Specialist will administer and maintain the use of all cell phones and admin/guest phones throughout the organization. They will review requests for new hardware and software with the Information Technology Manager and ensure that their work environment is clean and organized at all times. Confidentiality is paramount in this role, and the specialist will carry out other duties as delegated by the Information Technology Manager, ensuring that standards are maintained at a superior level daily.
