About the position

The IT Support Specialist at BlackSky is responsible for providing technical support to internal users at the Tukwila, Washington location. This role involves managing user accounts, supporting various operating systems, and assisting with equipment and software needs. The specialist will also handle onboarding and offboarding procedures, as well as support video conferencing and cloud technologies. The position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service for users.

Responsibilities

• Provides day to day support for Windows 10, Mac, and Linux users.
• Active Directory account creation and account management.
• Supports desktop and laptop imaging.
• Supports remote Cisco AnyConnect VPN users.
• Supports various cloud technologies, including video conferencing, O365, SSO, and other collaboration tools.
• Asset management, equipment ordering, and order tracking.
• Basic network troubleshooting.
• Other job related duties assigned.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience providing IT end user and systems support.
• Available for after hours and weekend support as part of an on-call rotation.
• Able to troubleshoot and correct OS and application issues with Windows 10/11, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android.
• Able to troubleshoot and correct Wi-Fi and wired networking issues.
• Able to create basic configuration documentation, KB articles, and how-to documentation.
• Troubleshoot and correct issues remotely, using remote management tools and methodologies.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Python, and Linux Bash.
• Experience with Office 365, Azure, and Intune.
• Able to work independently, with strong self-direction and initiative, as well as within a team.

Nice-to-haves

• MCSE, MCSA, or A+ certification.
• Knowledge of virtualization software (VMware Fusion/Workstation, VirtualBox, etc).
• Experience implementing processes and technical solutions to comply with security standards such as NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, SOC, ISO 27001, etc.
