About the position

The IT Support Specialist at Pacific Maritime Group, INC is responsible for setting up and maintaining software and hardware, providing technical support for various devices, and assisting with social media management to enhance the company's online presence. This full-time, on-site role requires physical ability to board vessels and perform IT tasks onboard.

Responsibilities

• Set up and configure computers, servers, monitors, and printers.
• Perform routine maintenance and ensure all systems meet company standards, ensuring all software remains functional and up to date.
• Manage cloud storage (Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.).
• Administer Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and other security applications, including Duo Mobile, to maintain a secure work environment.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related issues.
• Assist with troubleshooting software and hardware problems, working with technical support if needed.
• Provide basic training and tips to help users effectively use software tools.
• Provide guidance and support for basic Adobe Suite applications and Kofax Power PDF.
• Support the company's social media presence by assisting with the creation, scheduling, and posting of content on platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Collaborate with team members to understand and promote the brand's message across digital channels.
• Monitor social media analytics and provide insights on engagement, audience, and trends.
• Maintain records of equipment setups, repairs, and troubleshooting processes.
• Track hardware inventory and manage software licenses.
• Document issues and solutions and maintain organized digital and physical records.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; some higher education in IT or digital marketing is preferred.
• Prior experience in IT support, with some background in social media management or digital marketing preferred.
• Must successfully pass a background check, drug test and physical test.
• Ability to get security clearance.
