About the position

Peraton is seeking an Entry Level Customer Technical Specialist/IT Support Specialist to provide support for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) at airports across the United States. This position is based in Las Vegas, NV, and requires the candidate to work onsite at the airport. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support and customer service, with a focus on providing high-quality IT support to senior executive government staff. The role involves extensive desk-side IT support, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues in a professional manner. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance. The position offers a competitive salary of $55,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with matching contributions, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and professional development assistance. The work schedule is a standard 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday, with expected hours totaling 40 per week. Candidates should be self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently with minimal supervision, and should possess the ability to identify opportunities and develop new ideas. Preferred qualifications include relevant experience focused on DHS, certifications such as A+, Network+, Cisco, Microsoft, and ITIL4, as well as experience in managing projects. Knowledge of installing Cisco switches and managing complex fiber backbone interconnectivity is also beneficial. Candidates should have experience connecting, patching, and repairing Cat6 and fiber infrastructure. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED with 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Associate's degree with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience.
  • 3 years of experience in desktop support and customer service.
  • 1 year of experience in IT support and computer networking.
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certifications preferred.
