About the position

The Workplace IT on-site team member is responsible for addressing all incidents, tasks, and requests related to IT support promptly and efficiently. This role involves providing technical support for various infrastructure items and NXP devices, ensuring a positive customer experience while troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and collaborating with other IT team members for complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Infrastructure items and NXP devices within a defined scope.
  • Perform technical activities related to PC lifecycle including imaging, configuring, delivering, refreshing, and retiring PCs.
  • Help Personal Computer users troubleshoot problems and perform corrective actions for hardware and software.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members when the problem is beyond individual capabilities or scope of work.
  • Provide a positive customer experience while addressing client issues, concerns, or questions.
  • Collaborate on administrative activities on-site, such as running inventory, managing stock levels, ordering devices, and following disposal procedures.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in IT on-site support activities.
  • Experience with MAC and Linux systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows-based computers including imaging, upgrading, troubleshooting, and repairing.
  • Proficient in Windows operating system and applications.
  • Familiarity with authentication services and IT Management Systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Understanding of Microsoft 365 services for SharePoint, file sharing, and collaboration.
  • General knowledge of datacenters and telecommunication infrastructure, fixed telephony systems, and network infrastructure management.

  • Good verbal communication skills to explain technical problems and solutions to non-technical people.
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding of problems and concerns of non-technical clients.
