About the position
NavSav Insurance is seeking an IT Support Specialist to join their rapidly growing team. This role is essential in providing technical assistance and support to users, ensuring smooth operations within the company as it experiences significant growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of computer systems and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.
- Walk users through the problem-solving process.
- Assist in the onboarding of new employees by creating their accounts in Office 365 and assigning appropriate permissions based on role and department.
- Provide new hires with a basic introduction to hardware and software.
- Record events and problems and their resolution in helpdesk tickets.
- Maintain documentation and create/edit FAQs in the knowledge base, keeping procedures up to date.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of computers, hardware, software, operating systems, and basic computer programs.
- Experience in IT Helpdesk practices with a strong emphasis on customer service.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration is a plus.
- Knowledge of VoIP phone systems is a plus.
