About the position

Major Food Group is a prominent hospitality organization overseeing a variety of esteemed dining establishments. We are currently seeking a committed Technology Support Associate to deliver essential technical assistance across our operational sites. The Technology Support Associate will play a crucial role in offering technical support to both our corporate and restaurant teams. This position demands a solid grasp of desktop systems, software applications, and general IT troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess problem-solving abilities and a keen interest in technology, thriving in a dynamic environment while ensuring outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert technical support for corporate and restaurant IT systems, minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues across various platforms, including Mac OS, iOS, and Windows, covering software installation, updates, and routine maintenance.
  • Set up and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals to guarantee optimal functionality.
  • Offer comprehensive support for software applications such as Google Workspace, Office 365, Meraki System Manager, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Manage basic administrative tasks for POS systems.
  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of surveillance, audio-visual, and telecommunication systems.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement and integrate new technologies that meet the operational requirements of the business.
  • Document and manage all support requests through the ticketing system, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Provide on-call support as needed, including travel to remote locations for hands-on assistance.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in both remote and in-person technology support.
  • A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications are preferred.
  • Basic understanding of surveillance systems, audio-visual technology, and low voltage wiring.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with users at all levels.
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations for onsite support.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with ticketing systems for managing support requests.
  • Familiarity with restaurant management software.
