About the position

The IT Support Specialist position at our Retail Distribution Center in West Jefferson, Ohio, is a full-time contract role that requires providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to end-users. The successful candidate will work onsite from Monday to Friday, with hours from 11 AM to 8:30 PM. This role is critical in ensuring that our IT infrastructure operates smoothly and efficiently, allowing our team to focus on delivering exceptional service to our customers. In this position, you will be responsible for responding to customer inquiries and providing timely solutions to technical issues. You will utilize IT service management tools such as Remedy, Jira, and ServiceNow to track and resolve issues effectively. Your role will also involve assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and peripherals, ensuring that all systems are up-to-date and functioning correctly. Collaboration with other IT team members is essential, as you will work together to resolve complex technical issues that may arise. Additionally, you will monitor and maintain the IT infrastructure, including computer networks, servers, and systems, to ensure optimal performance. User training on software applications and operating systems will also be part of your responsibilities, helping to empower our team members to utilize technology effectively.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an IT support role.

  • Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
  • Experience working with IT service management tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
