About the position

Mariani Enterprises, LLC is seeking a Full-time IT Support Associate to join our team in Wilton, CT, where you will provide essential technical and administrative support for our Connecticut businesses located in Stamford, Wilton, and Kent. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of IT technologies utilized by the business, focusing on the administration and support of various IT systems. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including but not limited to desktop applications, telephony, networking, line-of-business applications, third-party services, and computer hardware. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the existing hardware and software in use within the organization. In this position, you will be responsible for providing computer and network support related to software and hardware issues reported by associates and users. You will need to respond to these issues promptly, ensuring timely resolution or outlining a course of action. Your duties will also include installing new software applications or hardware on user endpoints and servers, as well as coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary. You will manage user configurations in Active Directory, Office 365, and various business systems, and oversee mobile device inventory and provisioning. Additionally, you will assist in the installation of workstations and printers on the network, collaborate with vendors to resolve technical issues, and report relevant information to the management team. The role may require occasional travel to other locations for project, training, and support purposes. You will also participate in and contribute to Mariani initiatives, assist team members with their assignments, and develop new ideas to enhance departmental efficiency. Other duties may include participating in various department and business functions, such as emergency snow removal processes, internal quality audits, holiday retail, and administrative support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Providing computer/network support relating to software and hardware problems reported by associates and users.
  • Responding to issues in a timely manner with resolution or course of action.
  • Installing new software applications or hardware on user endpoints and servers, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary.
  • Configuring new users in Active Directory, Office 365, and various Business Systems.
  • Managing mobile device inventory, provisioning, and providing support.
  • Maintaining an adequate level of knowledge of operating system and application software being used to provide high levels of support to associates.
  • Assisting in the installation of workstations and printers on the network.
  • Working with vendors to help resolve technical issues.
  • Reporting all relevant information to the management team.
  • Performing miscellaneous related duties and other duties as assigned.
  • Participating in and contributing to Mariani initiatives.
  • Assisting other team members in the performance of their assignments.
  • Developing new ideas that will help the department run more efficiently.
  • Participating in other department and business functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a Microsoft Windows end user support environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IT principles and functions.
  • Proficiency in performing systems administration.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows server and workstations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with external clients and Mariani associates.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, including taking direction and constructive feedback from managers.
  • Flexibility to perform duties wherever volume deems it necessary.
  • Ability to deliver quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Commitment to self-development and continuing education.
  • Accountability for work being performed and completed on schedule.

Nice-to-haves

  • Technical certifications are a plus.
  • Familiarity with Network switches and firewalls is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Office 365 cloud technologies is a plus.
