About the position

As an IT Support Specialist at our leading technology firm, you will be integral to ensuring the seamless operation of our clients' IT systems. Your primary role will involve providing technical assistance and support to end-users, addressing a variety of issues related to hardware, software, network connectivity, and system configurations. You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering timely and effective IT support solutions. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and problem-solving, ensuring that all technical issues are resolved efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will provide desktop support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues as they arise. You will also offer IT support services that include system configuration, installation, and maintenance. A significant part of your responsibilities will involve managing Linux-based systems and Mac OS environments, utilizing remedy tools to track, prioritize, and resolve user requests. You will troubleshoot computer hardware problems and perform necessary repairs or replacements, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. Additionally, you will support users with VPN connectivity, ensuring secure remote access to systems. Effective communication with users is essential, as you will need to understand and resolve technical issues promptly. You will also assist in computer networking tasks, such as setting up routers and switches, and troubleshooting network problems to maintain connectivity and performance.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems and Mac OS environments.
  • Experience with remedy tools for ticketing and issue resolution.

  • Ability to provide help desk support for end-users effectively.
  • Knowledge of VPN technologies for secure remote access.
