In this role, the IT Support Specialist will assist with system upgrades, migrations, and the rollout of new technologies. Routine system tasks such as updates, patching, and user management will be part of the daily responsibilities. The specialist will also manage Microsoft Office 365 applications, ensuring that all users have the necessary tools and support to perform their jobs effectively. Additionally, the role involves setting up and supporting equipment for various events, which includes maintaining accurate inventory records. Troubleshooting is a key component of this position, as the IT Support Specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues. The role may require travel up to 15% within the US to client sites, providing an opportunity to engage directly with users and understand their needs better. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills, enabling them to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to employees.
  • Assist with system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts.
  • Perform routine system tasks such as updates, patching, and user management.
  • Manage Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Set up and support equipment for events, ensuring accurate inventory.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, and MacOS.
  • Strong skills in hardware troubleshooting and familiarity with antivirus, malware, and email security technologies.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team, adhering to departmental policies.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Capable of documenting troubleshooting solutions and system configurations.
  • Physical ability to occasionally stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift/move up to 25 pounds.
