The IT Support Specialist is responsible for providing technical support and assistance to individuals and organizations using computer software, hardware, and other technical equipment. This role involves diagnosing and resolving technical problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity. You will be responsible for installing and configuring computer hardware and software, performing routine maintenance tasks such as updating software, applying security patches, and upgrading hardware. Additionally, you will create and maintain technical documentation, provide training and support to end-users, and ensure excellent customer service to guarantee user satisfaction. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with other IT staff members, including system administrators, network engineers, and security specialists to resolve complex issues. You will also conduct diagnostic tests, monitor systems to identify performance issues, and stay up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the field to recommend upgrades or new solutions to improve IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support and assistance to individuals and organizations using computer software, hardware, and other technical equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical problems related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware & software.
  • Performing routine maintenance tasks such as updating software, applying security patches, and upgrading hardware.
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, as well as providing training and support to end-users.
  • Providing excellent customer service and ensuring that end-users are satisfied with the level of support they receive.
  • Working closely with other IT staff members, including system administrators, network engineers, and security specialists to resolve complex issues.
  • Conducting diagnostic tests and identifying technical problems with hardware and software systems.
  • Monitoring systems to identify performance issues and implement preventative measures to avoid downtime.
  • Staying up-to-date with new technologies and trends in the field to recommend upgrades or new solutions to improve IT systems.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of IT experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft stack to include: O365 and Active Directory
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills
  • Ninja RMM experience preferred
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal relations skills.
