About the position

Akkodis is partnering with a Fortune 500 company in Erie, PA, to recruit qualified candidates for the position of IT Support Specialist. This role is essential in providing technical support to end users, ensuring that their IT needs are met efficiently and effectively. The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for prioritizing work from a ticketing system, specifically ServiceNow, and deploying both scheduled and manual software updates for end users. This position also involves assisting with the imaging and preparation of devices for users, which is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency within the organization. In addition to these responsibilities, the IT Support Specialist will assist with the planning efforts of assigned projects, which may include the deployment and collection of equipment for end users. The role requires providing both onsite and remote support and troubleshooting for end users, ensuring that any technical issues are resolved promptly. The IT Support Specialist may also be assigned special projects, such as PC refresh initiatives and conference room support, which will require a proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills. Responsibilities

  • Prioritize work from a ticketing system (ServiceNow)
  • Deploy scheduled and manual software updates for end users
  • Assist with imaging and preparation of devices for users
  • Assist with planning efforts of assigned projects
  • Deployment and collection of equipment for end users
  • Provide onsite and remote support and troubleshooting for end users
  • Manage special projects as assigned (PC refresh, conference room support, etc.)

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, MIS, CIS or related field preferred; Experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered
  • One year experience providing end user support preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Experience with laptops/PC/Chromebook from a setup and deployment standpoint
  • Previous experience working with a formal ticketing system preferred
  • Experience deploying software and imaging computers preferred
  • Process oriented and goal driven
  • Must have the ability to work onsite in Erie, PA
