About the position

The IT Support Specialist at Xenith Solutions is responsible for providing comprehensive support for Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS), focusing on the design, implementation, and maintenance of a network micro-segmentation software application. This role is crucial for enhancing network security and reducing vulnerabilities, ensuring optimal performance of IT systems, and delivering exceptional service to users.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance support for hardware and software.
• Diagnose and resolve user-reported issues promptly.
• Plan and analyze work processes to enhance support services.
• Identify areas for improvement through proactive measures.
• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users.
• Maintain problem tracking databases to monitor incidents and resolutions.
• Perform backup and recovery operations to safeguard data integrity.
• Consult with users to assess needs and requirements.
• Conduct feasibility studies and prepare business cases for system improvements.
• Adhere to information security and cybersecurity policies.
• Support DLA's eProcurement system(s) by providing user assistance and troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Six (6) years of progressive experience in Information Processing.
• Three (3) years of specialized experience in Information Processing involving hardware/software solutions.
• Two (2) years of hands-on experience in installing, diagnosing problems, and training customers in software and hardware usage.
• Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II or IAT III (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security + CE, or SSCP).
• At least one of the following certifications: CCSA, CCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Illumio Core Specialist or Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Certified Admin, Microsoft Certified Architect.
