About the position

The IT Support Specialist at Medical Answering Services (MAS) plays a crucial role in enhancing the organization's technology support and infrastructure. This position is responsible for providing Tier 1 end-user technology support, maintaining IT hardware and software, and ensuring efficient operations within the IT Infrastructure and Telephony Operations team. The specialist will work primarily on-site in Syracuse, NY, with some flexibility for remote work as directed by management.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the configuration and deployment of end user hardware.
  • First level of support for end user hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Keep detailed records of hardware inventory.
  • Help create and maintain an organized IT workspace.
  • Perform hardware upgrades and repairs.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional IT experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to write and maintain documentation with a high level of accuracy
  • Experience and comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Good experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • An Associate's Degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience
