About the position

Shangri-La is seeking a dedicated IT Support Specialist to assist with the oversight and continual operation of our computer systems. This full-time position is ideal for motivated individuals who are eager to help others succeed in a supportive environment. The IT Support Specialist will provide essential support to staff on all company-supported applications, troubleshoot computer problems, and determine the source of issues while advising on appropriate actions. The role involves installing hardware and software on individual PCs and networks, as well as providing and maintaining necessary upgrades to systems. The position operates on a standard schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, ensuring a consistent work-life balance for our employees. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining positive relationships with all stakeholders, requiring excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will also be involved in regular communication both inside and outside the organization to convey and gather information effectively. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of experience or equivalent training and certification in network administration, computer hardware, and software, including Windows 10/11, Windows Server architecture, Mac OS, and VPN. This position offers a starting wage of $24.95 per hour, with a wage scale ranging from $24.95 to $31.57 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with oversight and continual operation of Shangri-La's computer systems.
  • Provide support to staff on all company-supported applications.
  • Troubleshoot computer problems and determine the source of issues.
  • Advise on appropriate actions for resolving computer problems.
  • Install hardware and software on individual PCs and networks.
  • Provide and maintain necessary upgrades to systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of experience or equivalent training and certification in network administration, computer hardware, and software.
  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Windows Server architecture, Mac OS, and VPN.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Ceridian and Dayforce software.
  • CPR Certification.
