About the position

The IT Support Specialist role at Aquinas Consulting involves providing technical support and guidance for complex applications and systems within a professional IT services firm. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, coaching, and educating team members while ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients. The role is hybrid, based in Fort Pierce or Port St. Lucie, FL, and is contract-based.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in a lead role on a diverse range of tasks and coach/educate others.
• Act as subject matter expert and consult with clients and project teams to provide technical guidance and complex troubleshooting/problem resolution.
• Lead the support of highly complex applications/systems and business lines.
• Identify root causes and implement targeted remediation plans.
• Administer business applications in coordination with appropriate stakeholders.
• Review, participate, and implement procedures.
• Research industry standards and make recommendations for new technologies.
• Design, review, and integrate application requirements including functional, security, integration, performance, quality, and operations.
• Act as the lead for other support analysts on the team.

Requirements

• 2-3 years' recent hands-on experience with Windows/Linux.
• 3+ years recent hands-on experience with ServiceNow and JIRA ticketing systems.
• 3+ years of experience with MS Office suite, especially MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
• Must be available to work after hours as needed to support system changes.
• Ability to lift heavy workstations and monitors.
• Must be available for overtime when required.
• Must be available to work overnight on the third shift.
• Ability to perform remote troubleshooting and provide clear instructions.
• Customer-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Highly motivated and energetic with great communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• LINUX Scripting and Java experience.
