About the position

We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our existing team within an enterprise organization located in Auburn Hills, MI. The successful candidate will have between 2 and 3 years of documented experience supporting Windows computers, Apple & Android mobile devices, and AirWatch or equivalent mobile device management platforms. This role is crucial in ensuring that our employees have the necessary technology support to perform their jobs effectively. Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude are essential for this position, as the IT Support Specialist will be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technology issues. In this role, you will manage daily IT support calls and support tickets, ensuring that all requests are handled promptly and efficiently. You will support the company's equipment needs through the setup and disbursement of desktop and laptop computer systems company-wide. Routine updates to equipment and devices will be part of your responsibilities, as well as resolving employee technology issues. You will interact with employees to assist in troubleshooting to identify the root cause of system problems, which requires strong analytical skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving. Additionally, you will train employees and other users on the proper use of MERSINO systems and applications, working closely with the IT team to develop and improve existing training documentation. Providing remote desktop support and assisting with the deployment and management of the mobile device management system will also be key aspects of your role. The essential functions of this position include working in a smoke-free environment and manual lifting of up to 20lbs.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Experience supporting Windows computers, Apple & Android mobile devices
  • Familiarity with AirWatch or equivalent mobile device management platforms
  • Excellent customer service skills
