As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems and providing exceptional support to end-users. You will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues, as well as installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems and applications. Additionally, you will manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls, assist with the deployment and setup of new hardware and software, and perform routine maintenance and updates on IT systems. In this role, you will document and track support requests and resolutions using a ticketing system, collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex issues, and conduct user training while creating documentation for end-users. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the IT infrastructure, ensuring that all users have the support they need to perform their tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and applications.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Experience with network troubleshooting and support.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other common software applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are a plus.
