About the position

The IT Support Specialist position at TKG Management, Inc. is a full-time role focused on overseeing the IT support department and collaborating with the IT supervisor to plan and deploy enterprise-wide systems. The individual will be responsible for managing help desk duties, providing support and troubleshooting for all incoming help desk requests, and ensuring timely resolutions. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential issues and suggesting solutions, as well as implementing approved solutions effectively. The IT Support Specialist will also be tasked with setting up user workstations, configuring user profiles, and managing upgrades as necessary. In addition to help desk responsibilities, the specialist will work closely with the IT supervisor on various network and server projects, including planning and deploying software installations and upgrades across the organization. Strong communication skills are essential, as the specialist will need to conduct end-user training programs and provide support for Microsoft Office products and other software needs. The role demands a highly organized individual who can manage time effectively and prioritize multiple requests simultaneously, while also being flexible to adapt to changing demands. Candidates should be prepared for after-hours support, as well as potential weekend and holiday work. Some in-state travel may also be required. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in a Windows network environment, experience with Active Directory and Group Policy, and familiarity with PowerShell scripting. Experience with Apple iOS is a plus, but not mandatory. A bachelor's degree is preferred, along with 3-5 years of relevant IT experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and troubleshooting for all incoming Help Desk support requests by prioritizing and expediting resolutions.
  • Provide support and training for Microsoft Office products and various other software needs.
  • Setup user workstations, user profile configurations, upgrades, etc.
  • Track asset inventory and maintain purchasing on supervisor's direction.
  • Report potential unforeseen or growing issues to the supervisor, suggest solutions, and implement approved solutions.
  • Setup and lead end-user training programs.
  • Work with the supervisor on network, server, and other IT projects.
  • Plan and deploy enterprise-wide software installations and upgrades.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in IT support.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Windows server setup required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Highly organized and disciplined in time management.
  • Ability to work independently and meet objectives without supervision.
  • Experience in a Windows network environment required.
  • Active Directory and Group Policy experience required.
  • PowerShell scripting experience is a plus.
  • Apple iOS experience is a plus.
