About the position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Computer Technician to join our client's team in Wesley Chapel, FL, for a 4-month contract with the potential to transition to a permanent position based on performance. In this vital role, you will serve as the tech hero for the hospital staff, providing prompt and efficient support to ensure their operations run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include triaging and troubleshooting a wide range of technical issues faced by hospital staff, including software, hardware, network connectivity, and peripheral devices. You will be expected to provide clear and concise explanations of technical issues and solutions to staff with varying levels of technical expertise. In addition to troubleshooting, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Documenting and escalating complex technical problems to senior IT staff as needed will also be part of your duties. Maintaining a positive and professional attitude while interacting with staff from various departments is crucial. You will need to stay up-to-date on the latest technology trends and healthcare IT best practices to provide the best support possible.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues faced by hospital staff, including software, hardware, network connectivity, and peripheral devices.
  • Provide clear and concise explanations of technical issues and solutions to staff with varying levels of technical expertise.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a computer technician or similar role.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and troubleshoot computer hardware and software problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
  • Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing exceptional support.
  • A valid A+ or equivalent computer technician certification is preferred.
  • Experience working in a healthcare environment is a plus.
