In this role, the IT Support Specialist will respond promptly to service issues and everyday requests from staff. This includes installing and configuring computer hardware and software, ensuring that all hardware is up to date with the latest security features and software updates. The specialist will also be responsible for updating hardware as needed, which may involve replacing parts or entire systems. Additionally, the role includes assisting in setting up accounts for new users and configuring mobile devices such as Android and Apple cell phones. The IT Support Specialist will provide entry-level training to end-users on software programs and hardware functionality, helping to empower staff to use technology effectively. Maintaining an inventory of computer equipment and software is also a key responsibility, along with documenting processes and performing diagnostic tests when necessary. The specialist will play a vital role in educating users about security threats and best practices to avoid them, as well as monitoring the Office 365 server for various security issues. Furthermore, the role involves working with users to maintain password security through the Microsoft Authenticator app and configuring the VOIP phone system as needed. Gathering data to identify and evaluate technical purchasing options will also be part of the job duties.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to service issues and everyday requests.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of networking principles and operating systems.
