About the position

Galois is seeking an IT Support Specialist to enhance the IT experience for employees by managing IT services and support. This role emphasizes customer service and problem-solving skills, allowing the specialist to engage with various IT domains, including systems and network administration, DevOps, and security. The position is designed for individuals looking to grow their IT expertise while contributing to a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

  • IT ticket management
  • Act as a trusted arbiter of access rights
  • User account administration and maintenance
  • Asset procurement, tracking, maintenance, and management
  • Administration of collaboration tooling
  • Build and maintain an understanding of current technologies, systems, and solutions to support keeping Galois operating optimally

Requirements

  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in Information Technology or an adjacent domain
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware, software, and general connectivity issues
  • Basic understanding of information safeguarding
  • Basic understanding of network support services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, Directory Services)
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work well with internal customers and build rapport
  • Highly motivated and able to self-manage deadlines and quality goals
