The Corporate IT Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for providing in-house technical hardware and software support to the organization. This role serves as a primary point of contact for IT-related issues and will involve working with a diverse range of equipment and systems. The specialist will perform routine hardware and software testing, configuration, and installation, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. This position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, as well as maintaining the operability of Windows laptops and desktops, including regular updates and disk cleanups. In addition to routine support tasks, the specialist will be responsible for virus remediation and cleaning up vulnerabilities within the network. The role includes imaging, deploying, and troubleshooting PCs running Windows 10, Windows 11, Office 365, and various peripherals. The specialist will also troubleshoot basic PC networking principles, including cabling, TCP/IP, Wireless, DNS, DHCP, and Windows Authentication. A critical aspect of this position is managing company backups and ensuring their validity, as well as scheduling and implementing upgrades and security backups of hardware and software systems. The IT Support Specialist will also provide out-of-hours support for user technical emergencies, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining high levels of service and support for all employees, including C-Suite executives. This position requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The specialist will be expected to document solutions and organize tasks effectively, contributing to the overall efficiency of the IT department.
