About the position

The IT Support Specialist at Shopoff Realty Investments will provide essential support for the company's Information Technology needs, ensuring the smooth operation of computer hardware and software systems. This role involves maintaining and repairing equipment, installing new programs, managing updates, and providing technical support to staff. The specialist will play a key role in responding to IT service tickets and assisting with technical issues, contributing to the overall efficiency of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and assist in the resolution of assigned IT Service Tickets.
  • Resolve technical issues with hardware or software systems, implementing corrective actions or escalating as needed.
  • Install, assemble, and configure computers, monitors, and peripherals.
  • Install and support desktop and server software, performing repairs as necessary.
  • Install, configure, and test updates and upgrades to systems hardware/software, ensuring compatibility.
  • Maintain an inventory of hardware assets, installed software, and manage software licensing.
  • Administer user accounts and verify security access levels.
  • Assess user needs and recommend technical solutions such as patches, upgrades, or enhancements.
  • Follow through on tasks/projects until completion and keep customers informed on status.
  • Help create and maintain end user/IT documentation, procedures, and policies.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent work experience in end-user technical support.
  • 2 years of experience in a computer support role with knowledge of computing hardware, software, and desktop implementation/support.
  • A+ Certification or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 is required; experience with Power Automate is a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Operating systems and Microsoft Office 365.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
