About the position

The IT Support Specialist at Hanker Systems is responsible for providing technical assistance and support to clients, ensuring the smooth operation of their systems and networks. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user accounts, and assisting with network administration tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills to effectively resolve client inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to client inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, or in person.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems and software.
  • Set up and manage user accounts and permissions.
  • Assist with network administration tasks such as configuring routers and switches.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Document technical processes and procedures for future reference.

Requirements

  • Must have an A+, MCSA, or Service Desk Certification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in technical support roles.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols.
  • Familiarity with help desk software and ticketing systems.
  • Experience with Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Understanding of DNS, GPO, and computer networking concepts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in relevant IT fields is a plus.
