About the position

The IT Support Specialist at Sanitas is responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to servers, desktop systems, networks, and other computer technologies. This role involves installing and testing hardware and software, training users on various applications, and ensuring a smooth operation of IT services within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network-related problems encountered by end-users.
  • Provide technical support to end-users regarding computer hardware and software.
  • Install, set up, and test computers and other hardware and software.
  • Train users in various software applications and network-related procedures.
  • Log requests using service manager, monitor progress, and track problem resolution.
  • Act proactively to prevent issues and communicate with management regarding unresolved problems.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree with at least two years of coursework in computer sciences.
  • Current experience providing technical desktop and network support in a large multi-platform and multi-operating systems environment.
  • One year of experience and an MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certificate OR Comp TIA Certifications.
  • Knowledge of networking and Active Directory environment.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized critical thinker with strong analytical skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology preferred.
  • An MCP (Microsoft Certified Professional) certificate OR Comp TIA Certifications preferred.
