About the position

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for analyzing, testing, troubleshooting, and evaluating existing network systems, including local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), cloud networks, servers, and other data communications networks. This role is crucial in ensuring that all network systems operate efficiently and effectively, minimizing any potential interruptions to service. The technician will perform regular network maintenance and updates, ensuring that all systems are up to date and functioning correctly. Additionally, the technician will be expected to document all network issues and resolutions, providing a clear record of maintenance activities and system performance. This position may also involve collaborating with other IT professionals to enhance network performance and security, as well as providing support to end-users experiencing network-related issues.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Proven experience in network analysis and troubleshooting.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with end-users and IT staff.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certifications in network management or IT support (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA).
  • Experience with network security protocols and practices.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking solutions.
