About the position

The IT Support Technician I role at Seneca Gaming Corporation involves providing remote technical support for various hardware and software systems across the organization. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of IT services, addressing technical issues, and collaborating with other IT staff and vendors to resolve complex problems. The technician will document and track issues, maintain a support log, and assist in managing IT assets, all while adhering to company policies and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote support for hardware, software, desktops, servers, networks, and telecommunications.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by team members.
  • Respond to requests for technical support via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Maintain a centralized ticketing system for tracking support activities.
  • Support on-site activities for technicians, customers, and vendors.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to complete work requests as directed by management.
  • Understand and troubleshoot the technical infrastructure components in use.
  • Work with vendors to resolve hardware/software issues and application problems.
  • Create and update documentation related to job responsibilities.
  • Manage desktop/laptop processes for new hires, transfers, and terminations.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in computer science or management information systems, or 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • IT approved Certification required within 12 months of employment.
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware and software, including applications and networking.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows, and networking concepts.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems according to established protocols.
  • Solid troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus and ability to work independently.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with mobility services and applications.
  • Knowledge of Multi-Factor security applications.
