The focus of this position will be assisting the IT Support Technicians to image PCs and Macs for new hires and replacement computers. The associate technician will further assist in performing basic system management functions for client systems using a variety of tools such as Active Directory. At this entry level, the incumbent is still learning technology support work for his or her assigned location. This role is crucial in ensuring that new hires have the necessary technology set up to begin their work effectively. In addition to imaging computers, the associate technician will act as an advocate to raise awareness of the needs of children, understanding Christ's mandate to protect children. The incumbent will commit to and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks, and activities across the ministry. This includes abiding by all behavioral expectations in Compassion's Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. The technician will also be responsible for reporting any concerns of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of children through Compassion's internal reporting process and appropriately supporting responses to incidents if they occur. The associate technician will respond to internal client requests for basic technical support, documenting, tracking, and monitoring incidents to ensure a timely resolution. They will assist in troubleshooting basic issues to restore service and identify and resolve problems. The role may also involve performing or assisting with desktop application deployments, client systems patching, hardware provisioning, and other general client support activities. Additionally, the technician may perform system management functions related to system management toolsets such as Anti-virus and desktop management systems, and may provide some general administrative support. Office 365 administration experience is beneficial, as is knowledge of Active Directory.
