About the position

Clark Associates, Inc./WebstaurantStore is seeking intelligent and driven entry or junior level IT professionals for the IT Support Technician I position at our Tampa, FL location. This role is designed for individuals looking to cultivate and grow their skills in a dynamic environment. Unlike typical support positions, our team engages in various aspects of the IT infrastructure, providing opportunities to enhance skill sets through diverse tasks and complex projects. The starting compensation for this position is $26.50 per hour, reflecting our commitment to attracting talented individuals who are eager to learn and contribute to our team. As an IT Support Technician I, you will be responsible for configuring PCs, hardware, and software, responding to helpdesk calls and tickets, and ensuring timely resolution of issues. Collaboration with the existing support team and other IT areas is essential to fully address every issue. Proper documentation of issues, licensing, and equipment distribution is a key part of the role. Additionally, you will participate in and sometimes lead projects that support the IT infrastructure, as well as set up new equipment for both new and existing users. This position requires a hands-on approach, and while a hybrid work schedule is available after an initial training period, applicants must be able to commute to our Tampa office due to the nature of the tasks involved.

Responsibilities

  • PC, hardware and software configuration
  • Respond to helpdesk calls and tickets and resolve them in a timely manner
  • Work with existing support team and other areas of IT to ensure every issue is fully addressed
  • Properly document issues, licensing and equipment distribution
  • Participate in, and sometimes lead, projects to support the IT infrastructure
  • Set up new equipment for new and existing users.

Requirements

  • Ability to commute to our Tampa, FL office
  • Drive and initiative, the desire to constantly improve upon skillset and knowledge base
  • PC, software and peripheral support experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of Active Directory, Windows OS, Office 365, Mac OS, iPhone and Android phones, DNS, DHCP, LAN / WAN, and printers
  • Experience with Open Source technologies
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and address tasks and issues in order of priority
  • Creativity in finding solutions to reoccurring issues
  • Ability to self-manage and self-motivate while working from home or in the office
  • Real-world technology support experience - intern/externships are acceptable
