About the position

The IT Support Technician II position at Robert Half is a critical role that involves providing technical support to clients through various channels, including phone calls and ticketing systems. This position is designed for individuals who are adept at troubleshooting and resolving issues related to client desktops, laptops, printers, networks, and servers. The technician will be responsible for supporting the IT infrastructure remotely, ensuring that clients receive timely and effective assistance. In this role, the technician will collaborate with vendors to address technical problems associated with desktop computing equipment and software. The technician will also work closely with managers, service coordinators, and other engineers to meet client service-level agreements, thereby delivering exceptional customer service. The ability to troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues is essential, as is the capacity to represent the company in a professional and positive manner during client interactions. Additionally, the technician may be required to perform other duties as needed, contributing to the overall success of the IT support team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support of client desktops, laptops, printers, networks, and servers.
  • Support clients' IT infrastructure remotely.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software.
  • Work closely with managers, service coordinators, and other engineers to fulfill client service-level agreements and deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and system issues.
  • Represent the company professionally and positively when interacting with clients.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in supporting and troubleshooting Windows-based networks and endpoint devices.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, Windows OS, MS Office 365, Azure, peripheral hardware, and software applications.
  • Experience with routers, switches, and firewalls as they relate to troubleshooting endpoint devices.
  • Experience installing Windows software, patches, and updates, as well as third-party apps and encryption.
  • Familiarity with MacOS and related Apple devices.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a positive attitude.
  • Eagerness to learn and support the latest technologies.
