About the position

The IT Support Technician II at Goldbelt Incorporated plays a crucial role in providing technical support and improving technology solutions within the organization. This hybrid position requires the technician to work closely with the IT Manager on various projects, ensuring effective resolution of customer issues and maintaining high standards of service. The role emphasizes customer service, professional growth, and the importance of supporting Alaska Native shareholders through technology.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily monitoring of the ticket queue, MS Exchange, and MS 365.
  • Perform preventative maintenance including wire management, testing, labeling, routine software upgrades, deletions, and modifications.
  • Support information technology assets by executing a variety of routine technical SOPs on hardware, operating systems, or enterprise application software.
  • Gain exposure to the entire IT network for Goldbelt's operations and assist with special projects as needed.
  • Provide remote support using TeamViewer and similar tools.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum six (6) years in the Information Technology field with previous experience providing Tier-1 IT support and four (4) or more years providing Tier-2 IT support.
  • Experience within an enterprise environment supporting 100 or more users (on-site and remote).
  • Experience supporting Windows 10 / Office 365 and various devices including iPads, tablets, laptops, desktops, and mobile phones.
  • Experience with managing accounts (AD, VoIP Phones, Mobile Device Management, etc.) and imaging and deploying laptops.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
  • Certified in Microsoft AZ-900, SC-900, or MS-900 Cloud (Microsoft Azure) and Microsoft 365 certifications.
  • Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA 93-349) OR Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA - Windows 10).
  • Previous experience working with Alaska Native Corporations (ANCs) and/or exposure to Alaska Native cultures.
  • Previous government contracting experience.
