About the position

The IT Support Technician is responsible for designing, implementing, and administering IT applications and infrastructure to support end users. This role requires a diverse background in application and infrastructure architecture, project coordination, and vendor management, with a strong focus on service-oriented support. The technician will ensure quality, efficiency, and agility in IT service delivery, contributing to the overall IT strategy and business success.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize and resolve ongoing incidents, problems, and change requests, as well as fulfill service requests from users.
  • Administer applications and cloud-based subscription services, including related operating systems.
  • Execute system and service-related restoration tasks and roll out new software.
  • Deliver support to users for all network-connected devices and software, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Confirm uninterrupted network connectivity for all devices and resolve issues related to Microsoft client operating systems.
  • Comply with all security protocols and administer access accounts for applications or services.
  • Train internal clients on best practices for utilizing hardware and software tools.
  • Guarantee uninterrupted network connectivity for servers and diagnose issues with server operating systems.
  • Collaborate in the planning and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure.
  • Assist in the lifecycle maintenance of IT assets and administer user and computer objects.
  • Collaborate with clients to assess and address their technology requirements and coordinate procurement of solutions.
  • Deploy and support voice-enabled devices and provide maintenance for voice-related incidents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or comparable certifications with 1-3 years of professional experience in IT support.
  • Superior communication abilities to engage with stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficient in written communication and detail-focused with multitasking capabilities.
  • Skilled in handling inquiries and issues from clients with a proactive and collaborative spirit.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proficiency in cloud-based platforms such as Azure and Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Familiarity with virtualization tools like VMware.
  • Proficiency in cybersecurity tools, including endpoint protection and intrusion detection systems.
  • Knowledge of programming languages, database management, and software development methodologies.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
