About the position

As an IT Support Technician IV at Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive computer, hardware, and software support to our employees. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for developing innovative solutions. You will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing desktop and laptop computers, as well as managing our network equipment. Your expertise will be essential in providing personal computer support and installing attendant software to meet the diverse needs of our workforce. In this hands-on technical role, you will manage executive technical requirements, diagnose technical incidents, and help design innovative solutions. You will be a key stakeholder in IT projects, ensuring that all technical responsibilities are met, including support and administration for AV technologies, computing hardware and systems, packaged software, peripheral equipment, proprietary software, and network connectivity. Your work will be vital in ensuring the efficient and successful operations of IT automation in accordance with SNC's corporate business, security, and IT standards, practices, policies, and procedures. You will also be tasked with investigating the information, network, and communications needs of our employees, making recommendations regarding software and hardware purchases, and supporting strategic and executive offsite events. Responsibilities

  • Provide executive level technical support with exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Manage problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow-up for incidents and requests.
  • Provide high quality, service-focused support in person, by phone, or email with both technical and non-technical clients.
  • Install, configure, and support computer, AV, and any other IT-related equipment.
  • Contribute technically to the development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and upgrade of IT systems, including AV, Meeting Services, PCs, operating systems, software, hardware, and peripherals.
  • Work with stakeholders and IT management to define business and systems requirements for innovative technology implementations.
  • Support strategic and executive offsite events.
  • Conduct research on potential technology solutions and maintain proficiencies with the latest technologies.
  • Evaluate new technologies and their application within the SNC environment.
  • Support and prepare technology needed for international travel.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in a related field of study with typically 6 or more years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of current IT technical standards related to computers, printers, network technology, drivers, software troubleshooting, VPN technologies, RSA, and Video Teleconference (VTC) peripherals.
  • Strong sense of customer/solution ownership and a drive for excellence.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects to successful completion.
  • Team-focused with the capacity for knowledge sharing and team leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with end users and leadership.
  • Drive to maintain current knowledge of industry trends and their potential impact on the business.
  • Ability to understand user and business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Comprehensive troubleshooting skills of industry-standard hardware and software products/services.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.
