About the position

The IT Support Technician Level 1 position is designed for individuals who will provide first-level support to end-users in a dynamic automotive industry environment. The role involves troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and communication systems issues while working closely with the IT Director. Candidates must demonstrate strong customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level support for all end-users.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and voice/data communication systems issues.
  • Escalate calls when appropriate and follow up on IT requests in a timely manner.
  • Administer computer accounts and passwords.
  • Provide remote tech support for various hardware and software systems.
  • Assist the IT Director in day-to-day tasks and coordinate communication with vendors.
  • Assist with testing of new or upgraded PC software and hardware releases as requested.

Requirements

  • Customer service and phone support experience.
  • Solid MS Office skills, particularly in Word and Excel.
  • Solid Gmail experience.
  • Excellent follow-up skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends for on-call rotation.
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in software troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves
