About the position

The Senior IT Support Technician provides essential helpdesk support for end users, focusing on software, hardware, and network resources. This role is crucial for ensuring effective communication during emergencies and involves troubleshooting and maintaining various IT equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide end user helpdesk support on software, hardware, and network resources.
  • Respond to and answer service tickets for IT end user support and network support.
  • Document results of work and ensure all calls are logged into the HelpDesk software.
  • Review and research software and hardware solutions, recommending appropriate options.
  • Analyze needs for new software/hardware solutions.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Three years of experience working in a Help Desk environment with direct experience in computer installations and peripherals.
  • Technical support experience, including diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with PCs, printers, scanners, and telephone systems.
  • Valid New Mexico driver's license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
  • Completion of SC Defensive Driving Course within 90 days of hire.
  • Ability to acquire CJIS certification and pass a CJIS background check within 9 months of hire.
