The IT Support Technician role at TEKsystems involves providing technical support for software, hardware, and network issues to end users in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

• Provide technical software, hardware, and basic network problem resolution to end users.
• Diagnose and resolve problems with PCs, local printers, end-user connectivity, software, and configuration.
• Ensure timely resolution of user problems by assigning appropriate priority and resolution goals.
• Communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly manner and provide one-on-one end-user training as needed.
• Propose and implement hardware and software upgrades to optimize system performance.
• Assist in installing local area network cabling systems and equipment with the network team.
• Manage and update an accurate IT equipment inventory.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for IT software, hardware, and network printers.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of Desktop Support Technician or relevant experience required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work effectively in a safety-minded industrial manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical solutions clearly.
• Ability to transition swiftly between complex priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation to different locations.
