About the position

The IT Support Technician at Powder Mountain Resort plays a crucial role in maintaining the organization's technology infrastructure. This hybrid position involves providing first-line technical support, setting up and maintaining devices, and delivering exceptional customer service both from headquarters and at remote sites across the mountain. The technician will balance troubleshooting tasks, field assignments, and follow-through on service requests, ensuring technology is operational in various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line support for IT issues reported by users.
  • Install and support software for end users.
  • Document issues and resolutions to build a knowledge base for future reference.
  • Provide troubleshooting assistance for hardware and software issues.
  • Escalate more complex technical problems to senior IT staff as necessary.
  • Monitor inventory levels of endpoints and peripherals.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and other services.
  • Assist in the setup and configuration of laptops, tablets, iPhones, and any other hardware for new hires and existing employees.
  • Onboard and offboard users, following and improving documented procedures.
  • Provide initial training on device usage and best practices.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with users and maintaining a professional demeanor.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills needed to research, diagnose, troubleshoot, and identify solutions to customer issues.
  • Experience troubleshooting Windows and Mac operating systems, as well as iOS and Android.
  • Helpdesk functions such as experience with incident ticketing and tracking systems.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on creating order, documentation, and process.
  • Field experience and administrative knowledge of Google Workspace.
