About the position

The IT Support Technician role involves providing technical support and resolving IT-related issues in a Windows environment. The position requires hands-on troubleshooting and client interaction, ensuring that all IT systems function smoothly for users. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Troy, MI, with a focus on customer service and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Resolve day-to-day IT related issues in a Windows environment.
• Troubleshoot printer and network-related issues.
• Set up new computers at client sites and install required software.
• Manage shared mapping and user accounts.
• Terminate network cables and patch panels.

Requirements

• 5 years of technical support experience.
• Proficiency in Windows operating systems, including server OS and domain controllers.
• Understanding of networking hardware and software.
• Ability to switch out internal computer components.
• Experience with installation of printers, scanners, and similar hardware on Windows-based systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for computer and technology-related issues.
• Good communication skills, both written and oral.
